The annual grand event of the World Hakka Association - the 27th World Hakka Friendship Conference was held in Kaifeng, Henan on October 17th, 18th, and 19th.
Our association is led by Vice President Zhou Gangsen as the team leader, leading a group of 18 members including Qiu Xiaozhong, Lin Chunping, He Qiaoyu, Liu Jianxin, and other directors to participate in the guest friendly ceremony.
This year, a total of 23000 guest groups from around the world participated in the grand event. The organizer of this event will connect the annual Kaifeng Chrysanthemum Festival with the Sincere Kiss Conference, which can be described as unprecedented and lively. Everyone deeply feels the kinship of the Hakka people, the elegance of the ancient capital, and the fragrance of flowers throughout the city
Especially the highlight of the event, the opening party held at the Qingming Shanghe Garden on the evening of the 17th, regardless of venue layout or dining methods (a long table connected for thousands of people to dine together). The evening program is even more exciting, with the theme of Hakka history, culture, and early folk life, which is stunning and applauded repeatedly
The conference has leaders from the central government, the Taiwan Affairs Office, and the Governor of Henan Province. There are also many outstanding political and business elites, which can be said to be a gathering place. Henan, formerly known as the Central Plains, is the true ancestral home and birthplace of the Hakka people. Therefore, villagers from all over the world are deeply moved by the search for roots, the remembrance of ancestors, and the contemplation of drinking water.
After attending the ceremony, the group visited famous tourist attractions such as Yuntai Mountain (Jiaozuo, Henan), Luoyang, and Shaolin Temple. Under the leadership of Vice President Zhou, everyone had a great time and reached a high point. We also established a customer club in Kaifeng on October 17, 2014, and we are looking forward to meeting again.
