On March 18, 2016, I held my sixth anniversary celebration and the handover ceremony for the second and third presidents at the Grand Hotel.
More than 300 guests, including Chen Guoxing, Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Guangdong Province, Yang Xiaotang, Deputy Mayor of Dongguan City, Qiu Jingchun, Chairman of the World Guests Association and County Magistrate of Hsinchu County, Xu Yaochang, County Magistrate of Miaoli County, as well as members of our association, attended the celebration together. Highlighting the spirit of "inheriting the Hakka spirit, promoting Hakka culture" and "Hakka families on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are close".

Vice President Lai Xinyu, the CEO of this celebration, delivered a speech stating that tonight is the sixth anniversary celebration of the Hakka Association, as well as the handover ceremony of our second and third presidents. This also represents our inheritance of Hakka culture from generation to generation, allowing young Hakka people to actively participate in our Hakka culture. Looking back on the past six years, I would like to express my gratitude to President Xiao for leading the selfless dedication of conference officials, who have grown from a few founding members to over 180 now.
Thank you very much to the members of the Hakka Association for their active participation. Without all the members, there would be no Dongguan Hakka Business Association. We would like to express our gratitude to the leaders and guests present tonight for their care and concern towards the Hakka Association, which has allowed it to continue to flourish on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

Xiao Ming, as the president, expressed that he has been very happy to be the president for the past six years. He has always adhered to the concept of building a "home" and is dedicated to managing the association. Thank you to the leaders and guests present for your support, which has made our guests feel the supreme glory. The support of County Mayor Qiu has enabled the Hakka Association to play a certain role not only in cultural inheritance but also in cultural interaction platforms across the Taiwan Strait over the past six years. During my tenure, I actively promoted cultural exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait and achieved certain results. I hope that all leaders and members can continue to support the team led by President Fan Renda and continue to carry it forward.

At the celebration ceremony, under the supervision of Chairman Qiu Jingchun, the handover ceremony between the second President Xiao Mingren and the newly appointed third President Fan Renda was completed. Multiple guests delivered speeches on site to congratulate and sing the anniversary celebration song together.

The newly appointed third president, Fan Renda, stated in his speech that the Dongguan Hakka Business Association of the World Hakka Association has always carried forward the "hard necked" spirit of Hakka people, united as one, and supported each other. Currently, it has more than 180 members. We will leverage the role of the Hakka Chamber of Commerce, strengthen interaction with domestic Hakka groups, and actively promote the exchange of Hakka culture between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. The slogan of "competing for the economy" is to address the global economic downturn. It is our consensus and responsibility to break through and sprint forward. Only by adhering to resource integration, sharing, and mutual support can we establish a new round of economic and combat strength. We hope that everyone can work together to strive!

Qu Hongqi, the mayor of Humen Town, affirmed the important contributions made by the Hakka Business Association to the economic development of Humen and even Dongguan over the past six years as a bridge and link for cross-strait customer exchanges. I hope that the Hakka Business Association can gather a stronger force of Hakka businessmen and make greater contributions to cross-strait exchanges and cooperation.

Xie Qingyuan, Executive Vice President of the National Taiwan Enterprise Federation and Counseling President of the Humen Taiwan Business Branch, delivered a speech, stating that the Guest Association can establish a friendship association in Dongguan with the help of cross-strait villagers. The growth of the association is the same as that of President Xiao's company, and our future president will have a clear vision of the development in Humen. During this downturn, having local residents create excellent communication bridges between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait has given Taiwanese business friends confidence in Dongguan.

Legislator Lin delivered a speech to the state, stating that tonight is the handover ceremony for the second and third presidents of the Guest Association, and he is very pleased to share this joy. I have known President Fan for many years and have a profound connection. I am delighted that President Fan has achieved today's success in Dongguan. Wishing the newly appointed President Fan the best in leading the conference affairs.

Miaoli County Magistrate Xu Yaochang delivered a speech, wishing tonight's presidential handover ceremony a complete success. Taiwanese businessmen can settle down and prosper with the support of provincial and municipal leaders.

Hsinchu County Magistrate Qiu Jingchun delivered a speech stating that the Dongguan Hakka Business Association aims to "unite Hakka hearts and Dongguan sentiments" and work together for development. He also expressed his hope that leaders at all levels of the central government can help Taiwanese businesses overcome difficulties together during the transitional period. I hope to create a future together with the joint efforts of both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

Yang Xiaotang, Vice Mayor of Dongguan City, delivered a speech expressing the hope that the Friendship Association, under the leadership of the new president, can carry on the past and open up new horizons, and members can help each other. The government will work together with enterprises to usher in a new development situation for Hakka merchants.

Chen Guoxing, Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, delivered a speech, congratulating the successful completion of the celebration and wishing the business of the guests continued success. Chen Guoxing also hopes that the guests present and members of the Dongguan Hakka Business Association can work together in the future to inherit Hakka culture, promote cross-strait economic and trade cultural exchanges, and maintain peace and stable development across the Taiwan Strait.

This celebration ceremony was filled with a strong Hakka flavor, hosted by Taiwan's Hanyin Radio host Tai Long and our member Wu Weitang. We also invited performance teams from both sides of the Taiwan Strait to bring exciting cultural and artistic performances.
